Description
Get comfortable with the basics of knitting with this beginner-level, introductory class. This class is perfect if you’re brand new to knitting or if it has been several years since you picked up needles and need a quick refresher. We’ll go over casting on, working the knit stitch and purl stitch, and how to read a pattern, all while working on a cute winter scarf project!
Class Options:
- Sunday, September 15th – 12:30pm
- Saturday, October 5th – 10:30am
- Wednesday, November 6th – 10:30am
- Saturday, December 7th – 10:30am
Supplies you will need (not provided:)*
- 400-600 yards of DK, Worsted, or Bulky-weight yarn of your choice
- Needle size appropriate for your yarn (we’ll help you figure that out in-store!)
- 2 stitch markers
* About the supplies: This class is a bit of a Choose Your Own Adventure project, and allows you to pick out a yarn you love for your scarf. The sample project was made with 4 skeins of Noro Kureyon, but we also love Vintage DK, Cherub Aran Prints, Rico Creative Melange Chunky, or Berroco’s Remix for this scarf project!
